AI operational audits

Find the work
that holds growth back.

Trace the work, quantify the friction and decide where AI can make a useful difference before committing to a build.

The practical difference

The bottleneck is rarely where the org chart says it is.

A quote may sit in sales, but the delay can start with missing product information. An invoice may sit with accounts, but the missing detail was agreed on a call three days earlier. Our audit follows the work across departments, so the recommendation addresses the cause.

01

Hear from the people doing the work

We interview process owners and the colleagues who handle the exceptions. We ask them to walk through actual examples: the quote that needed three revisions, the order that left without a complete record, or the customer query that only one person could answer.

Leadership sets the commercial priorities. The team explains the daily reality. Both views are needed to distinguish a recurring operational problem from an isolated frustration.

02

Map the chain, including the workarounds

We document inputs, decisions, tools, handoffs and the points where information gets lost or re-entered. Spreadsheets, calls, messages and physical notes matter just as much as the formal system.

The map shows who owns each step, what triggers it and what the next person needs. We check it with your team before designing changes around it.

03

Build a defensible business case

We examine frequency, effort, rework and commercial exposure using the information available. We separate recovered time, released capacity and potential margin, so the same opportunity is not counted several times.

An estimate is presented with its assumptions and confidence limits. Time released is not automatically cash saved, and a better follow-up process is not a guarantee that every open quote will convert.

04

Leave with a clear set of decisions

Each recommended improvement identifies the problem, the proposed change, the systems involved and the conditions needed for it to work. We prioritise by value, feasibility and dependency.

Some recommendations are configuration or process changes. Others need a specialist product or a custom integration. Your next step should be justified by the evidence, not by our preference for a particular tool.

How to choose the right improvement

What this gives you

What we need from you

A leadership sponsor, access to the people who own the relevant processes and representative working examples. We agree access, scope and interview needs before the audit begins.
